Mike, haven't you ever killed somebody and had to dispose of the corpses?  
It isn't a good move to use the victim's car when you are trying to distance 
yourself from the crime.

There were a ton of CG effects in that movie.  That's how the majority of 
the movie was black and white but elements were in color.  It is also why 
the destruction of the cars and having people jump on an Imperial roof 
didn't bother me.  I'm pretty sure they didn't really damage much.  It was 
strange how everybody had 50's cars, but they also had cell phones.
