I was stuck on the fact the Jag fan clutch was cheaper. I don't have any experience with the older fan clutches, but I do with the later ones. When I put the 3-row core in my '68 Barracuda, the aftermarket fan clutch would not cleat the core. The aftermarket clutch had a nose that stuck out in the front, beyond the factory piece. As of 3-4 years ago, the factory fan clutch was still available. I have the part number around somewhere. If anyone out here knows if the later fan clutch will work on the '59, I'll dig up that part number. I think the factory clutch was something like $75.
