Be careful over Karp's rebuild quality. I bought a rebuilt unit for my 60
Imperial , this came with a re- conditioned master cylinder . The master
cylinder was painted black, with a heavy type of synthetic paint, rusty on
the inside of the pot, & reassembled with some secondhand rubber parts. All
of this came to light when I first noticed the split boot on the pedal link
end. The booster seems to work o.k but I have not took it apart to check. It
might be worth checking with some of the NOS suppliers for a rebuild kit ,
most master cylinders should still be available new or remanufactured. I got
mine here in the U.K !
Regards
Dave
