These radios differ mainly in the connector style used, and very lately
in mounting.  I added a 93 Infinity CD to my older 5th Ave with no
problem.  You might check with some of the e-Bay stores that offer used
radios, I found them very helpful.  I have switched radios from the mid
80's to the late 90's without a problem.  Be aware that the Gold Infinity
series sometimes requires an external amplifier or it will not work at
all.
