Is it true that some of the 60 Imperial Crowns were built without the "Crowns" or "Lettering"? My 60 VIN states that it is a crown, but does not have either and never did. Bob

Gold  C R O W N letters under Imperial script on left and right front fenders.  Gold crowns at back on sides near the tail lights.

I just recently purchased a 1960 Imperial. It is a blue two door with dual air, and power side and vent windows. My question is how can you tell if it is a crown imperial?
