IML: Black Velvet, another take on the name, much more appealing for an Imperial then the previous name...

Show the CEO some old, and still current (31 years and running) Black Velvet
ads for, what else, Black Velvet (Scotch?).  Always used to be Heavenly
beautiful blond women in the ads, but as of late, they have also used
Brunettes.  The background was always dark, the blond model wearing Black
Velvet really stood out and a bottle of the liquor in the lower right
corner.  I think the slogan was "Smooth as Velvet"  A very classy ad
campaign that has stood the test of time, much like the Scotch.  At least I
think it was/is Scotch.

Anyway, your CEO, or "She who must be obeyed" as known in other circles may
reconsider her Executive Directive.

I mentioned in a previous post that we might change our '58 LeBaron
Southampton's name to something a little more civilized like Black
Velvet or some other similarly mushy icky sweet name. Well the CEO has
officially imposed her veto upon the idea. So officially her (The
Imperial) name shall forever remain The Black Bitc_!!. The Black Velvet
idea was more related to the song than to a material to make slinky
dresses out of, but that did not dissuade her from her opinion.
