Man, and they were all over me for making a chopper
out of a Cordoba! This is a real shame, as these old ones have a lot of
value, and they are scarce. I suppose the damage could be undone, if the
car is as rust-free as the seller says. I owned a 1960 New Yorker two door
hardtop for a brief period in 1962 when I got out of the service, a beautiful
car in white with a blue cloth interior. Kept it a short time, and traded
it in on a new 1962 XK-E, don't know if I made the right decision, but when
you're 25, you think differently. To this day, I keep at least one XK-E in
the collection, along with my Chryslers and Imperials. Would love to find
one of these cars again, or, dare I say it, a 59 or 60 Imperial, prob a 69 would
be first choice. Oh, had a 59 300 back then too.
