All Imperials were LeBarons in 1974 and 1975, and 1975 the last year before the Imperial name disappeared for a while. All was quiet in 1976... The midsize Chrysler LeBaron and the similar Dodge Diplomat (OK, they were really compacts since they were based on the F-body Aspen/Volare, but by the late 1980s that's what we considered a large car!) debuted midyear in 1977 as 1977 models (some say 1977-1/2). The LeBaron did indeed use the former Imperial eagle medallions all over the place, and I believe the Imperial never used them again. The 1990s used a strange (imho) combination of Pentastars and Cadillac wreaths... The Imperial and LeBaron names have yet to be reunited. -- Chris in LA 67 Crown 78 NYB Salon On 6/8/05 2:02 PM, Kenyon Wills at imperialist1960@xxxxxxxxx wrote: > Would it be 1975/76 when Imperial died but the LeBaron > model continued on?
