Re: IML: Auto Transport Companies

I used a broker - Speciality Mobile out of Dayton Ohio and I would never use them again.  I contracted to have my 56 Imperial transported from SD to Texas on July 6 but I didn't receive it until July 23rd.  They had to go thru 3 different carriers to get it here.  I had 3 different pick up dates and 4 different devilvery dates until It finally got here.  By all means shop around.  If you can fins some with recommendations from owners from this site, then I would go with them.

I used Intercity Lines to transport my '59 Imperial from Butte, MT to Washington, DC in spring 1999.  Their # is 800/221-3936 or www.intercitylines.com.  I used Reliable Carriers to move my '72 Buick Riviera in August 2001 and my '66 Imperial in September 2004, both from San Diego to DC.  Their # is 800/528-5709 or www.reliable-carriers.com.  All three were in enclosed carriers and went smoothly - no damage to any.  Both are professional companies that regularly move cars much more valuable than mine.  They may be more expensive, but I'd rather pay for the peace of mind, and to quote the L'Oreal commercial, "I'm worth it!"

Subject: IML: Auto Transport Companies

Hi Again IMLer's;

I recently sent a post asking for A1 Transport's number,
but read several bad complaints about them on google.
Does anybody know of a decent car shipper from
San Diego, California to Arkansas/Memphis/TN area?

Any numbers of shipper's numbers would be greatly appreciated

                               Sincerely,
