Re: IML: 1963 Imperial plastic trim moulding clips difficult at bestto manage

Hmmmm. This blue car sounds familiar....was it a dark blue LeBaron? I used to run across a gal and her boyfriend on the south side of Milwaukee regularly that had one. She always seemed to be at the thrift stores......Alex/63 Crown

I left my clips in after doing an extensive

them out, be prepared to replace some - mine were
brittle and didn't like being moved one bit. I can't
remember, but seem to recall that they get compressed
from inside.

Have fun on the front fenders.

Yes, Mark, I DID own a bugeye Imperial at one point
before returning to the Finest Car America Has Yet
Produced, the 196o Imperial.

It had been painted white and I took it back to the
correct blue. Sold it to a gal who drove it to
Milwaukee that didn't register it and racked up 30
municipal parking tickets. Wrote a nasty letter to
the Mayor of Milwaukee saying that I'd never been
there and never would and got a very apologetic
response (was surprised at that). I did manage to
provide them with the forwarding address for my
"friend" there. I understand that the DPT or whoever
visited her place and booted the car regarding
registration/parking violation issues for about what
she paid for the car.
