RE: IML: Torqueflite rebuild price



Cast iron T/F is a whole different ball game. Parts are scarce and pricey. I spent about $500 on parts alone. Labor to re and re and overhaul should about 12 hours tops.

Any hard parts (gear sets or torque converter) would be on top of that.  So $1500 and up depending on the damage would be in the ball park.

I had mine totally rebuilt in 2000, for just under $900.00.

Denis, Redwood City Ca. Also had a different one done last month for $1336.68. I think $3000.00 is out of line. Where are you located?
