IML: 67 starting problem Choke spring or binding

What is the remedy if it is binding or the spring is weak?

Joe,
If the spring is weak you need to replace to replace the choke mechanism. Most Auto parts stores will have a replacement. If it is an issue of binding you need to see what is causing it to bind. Usually it is because the rod somehow got bent & is rubbing on something. If that is the case carefully bend the choke rod so it doesn't touch. My fist guess would be a weak choke spring if it is determined that the choke is not closing properly. If you need further help don't hesitate to e mail me off line.
