IML: Why does one paint their block day-glo orange?



Silly goose     - it's to cover up the fact that you
used 3/4 of a pint of orange RTV to create gaskets.  I
just took my 1955 water pump housing off, and it's
coated in the stuff.

Guess that I'll get to change the visible portions of
the engine back to silver while I'm at it.

Beware of non-stock colored engine blocks that came
from out of state where old parts knowledge is
limited.
