Re: IML: imperial models

Thanks for the insight on the kit Chris, I suspected as much. I searched for some time to find a kit to build to match my 62, and eventually used a 4 door kit and filled the mold lines for the rear doors with super glue gel, sanded off the rear handles and scribed a line for the correct position of the rear of the door. It was probably more than I needed to do but I wanted to be as close as I could get, and probably closer than anyone would notice in 1/25 scale. I used the Revell kit, but the engine detail left a lot to be desired, so I found a Monogram kit of a Challenger with a very detailed 440 with A/C and used that, for once a muscle car gave its life for an Imperial!

Perhaps the next " What If..." category, Ill get an Imperial vert and see if the turbine engine from my unfinished Jo-Han turbine car will nest inbetween those fenders.
