I wish I had known that yesterday as I only got 225 miles out of a  
tank in my 58 crown coupe when it ran out of gas.
My gauge constantly red empty, so I pulled out the sender unit & it  
tested perfect.
At a last resort poured some fuel in a bowl & tested the float.......  
Yes it sank.
On closer inspection realized that two cork round things painted  
gloss black to resemble the original float wont work, any  
suggestions ???
is 200 miles the norm for a hemi ????
