IML: Sluggish Trans on '66?



I would add that changing the fluid and filter on any sick Torqueflite can make a world of difference.  I've revived several of these guys and driven many trouble free miles.  The fluid itself can lose its' properties and the filter can get clogged or varnished and thus affect pressures.  Besides, when you drop the pan, you can check for metal or clutch material in the pan before go to adjust the low-reverse band.
