Paul,

As you know, I have a 56 Sedan which I believe is reasonably similar  
to the 55.  One of the very first things I did when I got the car in  
'03 was to add seatbelts to all six seating positions as I do drive  
the car with some frequency.  I purchased belts from The Andover  
Companies via their website (http://www.andoauto.com).  The belts  
were of excellent quality and the installation hardware and  
instructions were very good and easy to follow.  In short, it simply  
requires drilling some holes into the floorboards behind the front  
seat and installing the appropriate hardware (the belts are available  
with some options which are detailed very well on the website).   
Fortunately I haven't had the occasion to find out if they really  
work and hope I never do.

Everyone, Rickard and Anna would like some input from everyone about  
installing seat belts in their '55 Imperial Sedan. I have forwarded  
their note for you all to read below. They are unable to post to the  
list directly, but are members of the IML and our Imperial Owner  
Family just the same. Please give them as much help as you can.

head fractures.

tips on where to get them and how to install them in the best way.

on the IML who has done this? What companies could we use as a  
source? How
should we
install the front ones? Any comments would be highly appreciated!
