The “Golden Touch” radio with foot-button station changer was a common option in ‘67 and ‘68 (and at $227.75 for the ‘67’s AM/FM monaural radio, including power antenna and rear speaker, it was one of the most expensive options offered). It allows you to seek the next station up the dial with a press of your foot on this second floor-mounted, dimmer-switch style button. 

The Golden Touch radio of these years is not labeled as such as on previous years. The easy way to identify it is the two large buttons above the dial labeled “local” and “distant” (or abbreviations thereof). Each of these also seeks the next station up the dial, each with different sensitivity to the strength of stations. I believe the foot button parallels the “distant” button. 

This also allows the driver to change the station with the radio’s cabinet door closed. And freak out unknowing passengers (especially if you pretend it has voice command and yell “next station” before discreetly tapping the foot control)!

They look the same though and the carpet is cut out for them so I know they are original to the car.  I even asked an older mopar guy and he didn't know either.  I have no owners manual to go with the car.
