Re: IML: 90-93 brake noise



Some disc brake pads have alarms built into them. When the lining is too thin there is a squeaking sound all the time to alert the driver that the pads need to be changed.

Sounds like you knocked the last bit of brake pad material off the backing plate, and are now metal-to-metal. Of course, that is just a guess...

I went to stop not to beat the yellow so I  stepped on the brake pedal hard and now the brakes sound like they are grinding or rubbing noise. It seems to make this noise when I'm going or stopping- Anybody can help me sort this out let me know -Anthony
 
My ABS system has been change over and repaired due to the recall!
