My experience has been that these cars took turns flat, had the very least amount of "dive" during braking, and seemed to hug the road at high speed. That was what everyone was after in those days
That's right, Paul!  And for an excellent demonstration of the superior handling characteristics of Torsion Aire suspension -- with direct comparisons to the competition -- why not revisit the test track for 1957?

"You're on the test track with nine of America's fine automobiles. You'll see in action the Buick Century, the Buick Super, the Oldsmobile Super 88, the Oldsmobile 98, the Cadillac 62, the Chrysler Windsor, the Chrysler Saratoga, the Chrysler New Yorker, and the Imperial."

After watching this fine film, you decide what a difference Torsion Aire makes!

And remember, those Buick brakes grab sometimes, too!  ;o)
