IML: Cheap Car Covers

I’ve posted 3 messages to the IML announcing that the cheap car covers I talked about a couple of weeks ago are again available – but the messages do not post, probably because I included a “hotlink” to a web page that describes them. Or, perhaps I’ve unwittingly used a word that is forbidden and automatically kicks out my message – I can’t figure it out, so I give up.

For anyone who is a member of the IML (ONLY, please), and wants to know about these covers, please e-mail me directly at dickb@xxxxxxxxx and I’ll send you the link to the info off the list. The link includes pictures and shows one on my 67 Imperial and one my truck (different size, obviously). They cost $65 plus shipping.

These are thin covers, that can pack into a breadbox sized bag, and will protect your car from dust, water and sun, but they are really best for keeping a car that is inside a building clean, as they are so light (it’s a sort of rip-stop nylon, but tough, like a parachute) that they are vulnerable to wind unless tied on. The good thing about them is that they cover the whole car, right down to the rockers, and they are plenty long enough for our Imperials.
