RE: IML: Recoring an Imperial radiator

I had the radiator on my 67 Crown recored about a year and a half ago and it ran me about $450.  I also had more tubes added.  I’m not sure of the exact spacing but let’s say the tubes are currently 5/8” apart.  The new core has them every ½” so I end up with a few more vertical tubes.  So far the radiator has been flawless.

Had it done at San Leandro Radiator in San Leandro, Ca.

Subject: IML: Recoring an Imperial radiator

Has anyone had their Imperials radiator recored recently?

I was just quoted $600 to recore my 60's radiator (gulp).

And that price is with me removing it from the car.

Has copper become that expensive?

Does this price seem in line with anyone else's recent experiences ?.

Thanks
