But you missed the part that that was one of the first things I did, rebuild 
the carb AND I've had it apart again to double check the settings and any 
thing I might have missed.  Dick B. mentions how bulletproof the AFB carbs 
are, and how Holleys cand develope internal leaks. I wonder if there common 
problems with AFB's?  If no one has a good carb to try, maybe someone would 
have a good core so I could swap the venturis. My carbs Model # is 4312S.
