Re: IML: Rear Bumper Removal 61

I had the floor jack under the bumper just in case. The problem I had was finding access to two bolts. I finally found two plastic plugs in the trunk area and removed them, which gave easy access to the nuts with a 3/4" socket.

If everything else has been removed first, the bumper will fall on your
feet when you take those out. BE CAREFUL!

Yup.  You have to go in through the holes in the rear body
cross-structure below the trunk lip and extract the two bolts there.  I
recommend returning the frame-extension bolts at least aprtway, before
you pull these.  The bumper is MIGHTY heavy.

How do I get the rear bumper off my 61 ? I removed two frame

nuts in the trunk ?
