There are shops in most metro areas that rebuild starters. Look in the yellow pages under automotive/electric. Walk in with a case of beer and a smile and you may get faster service. Ask if they do work on the premises, though when you call, especially if you have more than one choice - you don't want a place that ships it away. Use a tool to mark your metal case to ID it, show them the mark, and tell them that you want that one rebuilt so that they are less likely to lose it. Check for the mark when you get it back - you'll know you have the same unit that way. Common's Auto Parts is where I get my stuff, and Mike can find almost anything that is still available - they've been in business since 1940 and he knows Chrysler inside out. commonsauto@xxxxxxxxxxxxx If you contact him, please be prepared to place your order and spend money so that you don't waste his time - they're a busy place. If he can't get it, you'll be rebuilding what you have no matter what, as he's very well connected regarding obscure Chrysler items. You'd be money ahead to replace the starter relay and battery cables at the same time so that the system is completely redone and has no weak links to sequentially fail on you. -K --- Mark Battesby <a1web@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > yesterday my car wouldn't start just clicked.
