Thanks for your response about your '59's body tag codes. My car does
have a sure grip differential and swivel seats. My car has a heater/
air conditioner (no rear air) and a rear window defogger. On my tag
it looks like H0 rather than HO and my car doesn't have a hood ornament.
My car's body tag codes:
A 0406 M657100843
654 N 706 AAV PW(or V?) DL9 H1 T
M2 H0 R5 AP7 RM HD AC S
By the way I got info about the paint code (AAV), the trim color
(706), and the body style (654) from a cover letter with the build
sheet data I requested from the Chrysler Corporate Historical
Collection.
My car was built at the Detroit Imperial Assembly Plant on April 8th,
1959 and was released to shipping on the 15th. So it's 48th birthday
is soon approaching.

I have a '59 Hardtop/Silvercrest too and the first one is
definately PW, I believe the DL9 is for "Sure Grip", my car has an
H2, and I think it may be for front and rear air/heater. I do not
know about any of the other codes, but suspect the S at the end is
for swivel seats. My car also has a hood ornament could this be
HO? The remainder of my codes:
PW DL9 H2 T9
M2 HO8 R5 AP7 RM3 HD1 AC S
