Re: IML: Headers for Imperials / names of chassis

HP = High Performance
C Body = designation on full size, late 60's/early
70's cars. NY'er and Imperial shared everything aft
of the firewall from a chassis standpoint, Imp is 3"
longer in front, yeiling longer wheelbase and apparent
between front wheel opening and front edge of front
door.

The 1960 is technically a Y-body as it had its own
chassis at that time. These were terms that were used
internally at Chrysler and in the service lit - you
can see such in the front of the service manual when
they're being discussed and identified.

Many cars often came on the same chassis with
different bodies, so they lumped them together for
convenience, since they were mechanically related. A
and B were the smaller and middle muscle cars.
