Throwing parts at it isn't the best or right way to fix anything.

However, throwing a coil at it after all the other stuff you did is 
hardly going to make that much difference. If there is a chance it 
would work, why not? Without being there, I can't say anything for 
sure, but I don't think your coil is causing the problem. A loose 
rotor, bad distributor cap, failing electronic ignition, partially 
clogged fuel line, miniscule air leak in the fuel flex line down by the 
pump, ruptured fuel pump diaphragm, etc can all cause similar symptoms. 
Just because the car only has 30,000 miles doesn't mean that any of 
these things can be ruled out. A 40 year old car is going to have 
problems, some of them from lack of use.

Keep at it, you will find the trouble.

The timing is solid. Remember, this engine has 30k on it. I had the 
intake off and saw down into the engine...clean as a whistle. Good 
compression. This is why I'm so perplexed. I feel like an idiot because 
I'm throwing parts at it.(and running out of things to replace.
