The difference here is that Curell is saying that ALL of the wheels lock up AND the brake lights stay on. One locking wheel means a bad wheel cylinder or brake line. All of them locking at once, along with the brake light switch being stuck is more likely a problem at the master cylinder or clog directly ahead of it in the line.

I have a similar problem with my 53. The rear passenger wheel locks up on stopping, but only some of the time, the other 3 are fine, it has the effect or symptoms of the emergency brake being on, stays locked up upon take off, and will release in a few feet or so, but it is frustrating. I have tried once to pull the drum and could not get it to budge. I have to do a full brake job in the near future. My brake lites are fine.
