I have seen LeBarons with only one ring/side and have associated it with the following explanation (which may or may not be correct). Early models came with one ring/side and during the course of the production year the standard became two rings/side on the LeBaron only. Not unlike the change from 14" to 15" wheels for all Imperials during the course of the 1959 production year.
