Re: IML: Pressure vs. Volume

The only thing I have to offer is a bit of wisdom from my old Auto Shop teacher: Too much pressure will allow too much oil to be squirted on the cylinder walls, and eventually the oil rings won't be able to control it, and you wind up burning the excess.

Subject: IML: Pressure vs. Volume

Imperialists:

A spirited discussion ensued between friends over the issue of oil pump for pressure or oil pump for volume, and under what circumstances would require the application of either.  Would any members care to enter the fray, so I may sound vaguely intelligent on the issue the next time it is brought up....at the card table !!
