1962 engines were painted blue (blue-ish green) with black air filter 
and accessories. There seemingly weren't any decals on the valve 
covers, although some have applied the '65 style and they look good.

Sorry for jumping in late and bumping this thread again. What is  the 
word for 1962 valve covers? They came from the factory looking like??? 
My covers are currently gold with no decals. Thanks.

If the "1961" item is determined to be a '59 by
concensus, we'd sure like to know so that we can get
it corrected. I associate the 61 with 61's based on
what I've seen. Don't know enough about '59 to say,
but had thought it was the oval one...
