Re: IML: Please Welcome Harold Johnson

I was at the Chi Town Cruise in Downtown Chicago with my 66 Imperial Convertible when Harold pulled along side in his 66 hardtop.  He pulled over and we inspected each others Imperials.  His 66 hardtop is in excellent shape.  He related that he felt it might need a paint job.  I cautioned him telling him the success I had in buffing out my paint job after sitting in a garage for 25 years. For a few dollars he might be plesently surprised.  After the cruise the sponsors held a car show with approximately 150 cars in attendance.  There were 3 Imperials... a perfect 1963 white convertible, a 1962 Crown hardtop, and my 66 convert.  The comments about Imperials were very positive.  Most people recognized them as a premier luxury car.

Welcome Harold -
No one here will question your taste in automobiles (or your regret in parting with them).
I've always thought maroon looked particularly good on the 64-66 series.
