IML: Production totals of 56 Imperials?

Hello to all!

While working on my website I noticed differences in the production 
figures of the 1956 Imperials.

The Standard Catalog of American Cars 1946 - 1975 tells:

C73 Imperial 2-door HT = 2094
C73 Imperial 4-door HT = 1543
C73 Imperial 4-door SD = 6821
C70 Cr. Imp. SD            =     51
C70 Cr. Imp. Limo         =    119
Total                              = *10628*

That is also to read on the OIC sites.
But production figures go from C56-1001 to C56-11715 = *10715* total.
From another source I got a model year production total of *10685*.

Has anyone an idea why there are three different numbers and how to 
proof which is the right one?
