Hello and thanks. You access it by going to www.imperialclub.org and then click on "Imperials By Year" and then click on 1960 and then click on "Factory Service Manual". On page 6, you will find that a serial number beginning with 92-041, as yours does, is a FOUR-door Crown sedan built in Detroit. The starting vehicle number was 92-04100026 so yours would be the 42nd car built of that series: http://www.imperialclub.com/Yr/1960/FSM/html/__-006.htm You described yours as a 2-door. But I don't see any 2-door cars listed, so maybe the 92-041 applies to ALL Crown Imperials. Page 5 seems to imply that: http://www.imperialclub.com/Yr/1960/FSM/html/__-005.htm It's also possible somebody somewhere in the last 47 years switched out the serial number plate, but I have no reason why. This same number should appear on the title. It's important to make sure that the title matches the actual serial number found on the car. The location for that tag is shown here: http://www.imperialclub.com/Yr/1960/FSM/html/__-005.htm More information about options etc. will need to be deduced from the body tag. I see we have incomplete information for 1960 but you might look at the years around it to see what you can discern: http://www.imperialclub.com/Part/Body/Tags/index.htm Hope that helps. I have a '61 and a '63 which are different animals than your 1960 (though 1960 is a BEAUFIFUL, WONDERFUL car as well). --Brooks in Dallas -----Original Message----- From: mailing-list-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mailing-list-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of hasse Sent: Tuesday, July 10, 2007 12:39 AM To: mailing-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: IML: New topic Imperial 1960 Hello.
