While I loved the '57 Imperial when it first came out, it did have the body fit issues that have been mentioned. '57 and '58 both had the 392 Hemi engine, so that would not be an issue. The '58 to my mind has a nicer looking grill - more refined looking. Also in '58 the Autopilot speed control became available if you happen to find one so equipped. Both cars had the 14 inch wheels and my preference would be to change them to 15 inch wheels. That would involve having to use later year hubcaps too, so if you wanted to maintain the original appearance, that would not be a good choice. I always thought the '59 rear bumper was nicer looking and fit the overall style of the car better than the one used on the '57 and '58 models. Joseph W.
