Everything from theory, to engineering, to practical tips. >From what I understand, the heat riser should be turned clockwise to be held open, as viewed from the passenger fender. I'm not going to worry about the engineering of the opening action until I pull the manifold and set it up correctly. Again, thank you to everyone for the input.
