IML: History of Chrysler engines Help on Engineer Society

I thought about joining the Society of Automotive Engineers because they have some wonderful books I'd like to get. There is a discount if your a member, but I can't find out the requirements for joining. I'm not an engineer and a so-so mechanic, but I'd like to join. Does anyone have information that could help me join?
