Can anyone recommend a good "Floating Battery Charger" for my 90 Imperial. I tried Schumacher 1.5amp. >but it didn't hold the charge. I need something around 3 amp./ 12 volt. Apparentaly, on these new type cars >their is a lot more being used off the barrtery when it sits. -Thanks -Anthony
You shouldn't have more than a couple hundred milliamp drain with everything off. You may have something that isn't turning off like a glove box or trunk light. An easy way to track down the culprit is to pull fuses one at a time until you find the circuit that is causing the drain then you can isolate the devices on that circuit.
http://www.batterystuff.com/battery-chargers/12-volt/0-4amps/LilPro2.html gives you a 4amp smart charger that can tend two batteries at once. A little pricey though.
