If you have a brand new one on your car, I doubt that you will need to 
have an extra on hand as a replacement. Those take years and lots of 
miles to wear out. Mine was the original after over 200,000 miles and 
40 years. $400.00 is a lot of money to have tied up in a single spare 
part. Why not keep the old one and have it rebuilt some day when, if 
ever you need it?
