'81 to '83 repair manuals

Don't think you can tell from the VIN whether this is FS:

2= Canada country of origin

A=Imperial

3=Passenger car

B=Manual seat belts

Y=Imperial

6=Special

2=2dr hardtop

N=318 EFI on a 1983 (4bbl on 82)

X=check digit

D=1983

R=Windsor assembly plant

last digits are sequence number

 

I think you need the info from the body code plate next to VIN to verify original color, but I don't see anything in the manual that lists a code as FS edition.  Plus, I understand after 1981 no requirement for glacier blue on FS editions.  May have to rely on the external badging?
