The slow clicking turn signal is often the first thing one notices when the
battery is not being charged.
This can be a generator fault, or it can be a regulator fault. Some time
ago, I posted a way to sort this out for yourself so you don't wind up on an
"Easter Egg Hunt", changing parts until you finally get to the one that is
causing the problem. These technical hints are always in the IML archives
for all members or visitors to make use of. In this case, you can find it

Once you complete the decision tree described there, you will know which
item you need to fix. NAPA stores stock the regulators, and they can send
your existing generator out for rebuild, if you chose to go that way. You
can also buy the needed parts from them and rebuild it yourself, which is
what I do. Probably other stores can help you also; I happen to like the
quality of NAPA parts and services.
