Hi Roger, I am not an experienced mechanic, but can figure out how things work
very well. My expertise lies in restoring the cosmetics of a car. There are a
lot of things I would like to tackle mechanically on my Imperial, but due to
time constraints, I only have 2 days a week to work on it. I also live in a
community where the cc&r's forbid working on your car, and I can't even leave
it parked in the same parking space for more than two days, so the car pretty
much has to be in a mobile state at all times. My other problem is, the
Imperial is too large to fit in my one car garage, and even if it did, it would
take far too much manuvering to get it in there, so you can see by my
circumstances, I pretty much have to depend on a good mechanic at this point.
Maybe once I find a home in an unrestricted community, I will be able to do
more of the work on my car. Believe me I don't enjoy paying $80.00 an hour for
someone else to do it. Bill '59 Crown
