With an ohmeter, measure the resistance of the Water Temperature Sensor
located near the water outlet -there are two terminals in a "Vee"
arrangement. The resistance should be no more than 950 when cold, 1200 to
1500 when warm. Also, for this car with this mileage, remove and replace the
Pick-Up Coil in the Distributer; don't bother checking it, just throw it
away. This is a most annoying problem and we all tend to blame the injection
system for this stalling, sagging, problem. A can of Fuel Injector Cleaner
or gas treatment may help purge the system of old gasoline. Bob Harris
