Went to the spring thaw yesterday.It officially
kicks off the show n shine season up here.There was 522 cars in attendance.Of
these only 2 were Imperials(our 1972 LeBaron Genie & a 1966 Crown).Met James
and Mike from the list and also met many wanna be Imperialists.Met a fellow from
B.C. who used to have a 1973 Lebaron(which he has since sold)but he told us he
had brake drums,hubcaps and a complete dash at home if we need parts.Also met
the fellow from Calgary who sold him the 1973 and he says he still has some
assorted a/c parts.Ran into the mechanic who used to work on Genie for the
original owner.He said Genie was in a movie and Lee Marvin drove her.He wasnt
sure of the title but he said the name Silver Streak came to mind.Looks like we
have some research to do.Well the next show we will be attending is in
Didsbury(not until May 11) and after that we will be attending one or two shows
each weekend for the rest of the summer(as long as Genie cooperates).Hopefully
we can get some info. on Genie in the movies before then. Tony-1972 Imperial
