torqueflite rebuild questions: towing



Lessee.. from memory.

There is a large 'screw' with a nut around it on the driverside of the
tranny, it's right in front of the linkages I believe, you losen the nut a
bit and turn the 'screw' in a turn, then tighten the nut around it.

Then you can just unhook the linkage from the carb and screw it in (shorten)
it for a later shift.. I believe it was shorten, but that's nothing that
hurts the car, so screw in the linkage and if you don't like it, lengthen it
a bit.
