80s retrofit fuel flow sensor

Hi,
Has anybody had any success using the fuel meter on a backyard converted
car. Does the dash need to be changed?
I'd like to know if anyone with a carbed car has success with this. I've
had EFi front wheel drive mopars with a similar computer mpg readout and
they worked fine for years.
