My "Brake System" idiot light came on. I was able to make
it go away 3 times in 40 minutes of stop & go by poking the
pedal, but it returned 10 minutes later and then went out
in useage.
What does this light measure and warn of?
The pedal feels a little mushy, and I can get it all the
way to the stop when the car is in neutral and stopped, but
works fine otherwise. Mushy pedal might be my imagination,
as I don't drive the car as often as I should lately. New
booster by me, and supposedly new MC, fluid, & pads (the
last three by previous owner reported to me by word of
mouth).
Fluid level appears acceptable.
What should I check?
