I replaced my hoses tonight, while trying to stay dry. They were quite
pricey at $2.+/foot. Is this normal for transmission fluid hose?
Anyway, the car seems to run just fine now. No slippage. The lockup
converter works just fine. However, when I was trying to check the fluid,
(after a 1.5-2 mile trip, hope the fluid was warm enough) I was
confused. The upper side of the dipstick showed a bit below the add a pint
line. The other side of the stick though had a trace of fluid about 1.5
inches higher. This line was not quite as well defined. Did this 2-3
times, the same (wiping the stick every time). I do not want to
overfill. Any suggestions how to do this right? I recall people saying,
that you can't overfill these transmissions, because they tend to leak the
excess off. Is this right?
Thanx
