I purchased my first Imperial when I was 27. It was a 56 4 door. It took me
3 years to restore. I sold it about 6 years ago. I purchased my second 56
last year. It is desert rose and white. I have done very little to it,
other than brakes, it sat for a while. It is all original, never painted.
I always loved Imperials. My dad had one when I was around 7 to 8 years
olds he had it 5 years and sold it. My grandfather gave him a 57 Ford
Fairlane, I was devastated. My dads was a 58 coral imperial and I always
missed it. I guess that's why I never liked my first Imperial it was black.
My 56 that I have now is desert rose and white and it reminds me of my
dad's. I guess thats' why I wanted one even back at 27 years old.
